The 5th Travel Trade Athens 2017 is coming this October

Registrations are underway for the signature annual trade event organized by the City of Athens
hosting select international and Greek tourism professionals


In October, travel trade professionals will descend upon Athens for the 5th consecutive year.  The upcoming Travel Trade Athens event is the city’s annual signature event, showcasing Athens as an attractive cultural, artistic, and modern, city break and Meeting Industry destination.

The 5th Travel Trade Athens, organized by the Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB), in cooperation with the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA), will be taking place on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 October 2017 at the emblematic "Grande Bretagne" Hotel, in the heart of Athens.

In this 5th consecutive event, Travel Trade Athens will again be hosting selected international professionals, representing tourism organizations and agencies, conference and event organizers, as well as journalists from well known online and offline media, through a fully hosted buyers programme. The event includes pre-arranged B2B meetings with Athens’ and Greece’s foremost tourism professionals and thematic fam trips & experiences of Athens wherein the participants get to experience firsthand the city of Athens and the services offered.

The Mayor of Athens, Georgios Kaminis, welcomes those interested in registering for the event underlining that it “has become a signature meeting for the promotion of the destination.” The Mayor further notes that “Travel Trade Athens helps put the City of Athens firmly on the map of the world tourist industry. Within just four years, it has already clocked up 9,500 meetings between foreign buyers and Greek suppliers, leading to a significant number of new collaborations."

Travel Trade Athens 2017 offers a fully hosted buyers program that includes international air travel, accommodation and a memorable social program. The closing date for registrations is September 1, 2017.
